General Technology Incubator has been active since 2003. This incubator hosts university graduates, and knowledge-based companies.
Information and communication technology entered the market in the 90s, and developed rapidly. As a broad area of technology, it differs greatly with other ones because it can cover a vast range of scopes, mainly to facilitate tasks, and increase performance.
Because of large number of electrical, electronics, and information technology related industries, academic, and research centers, and skillful experts, Fars province has always been famous for being a core of ICT in Iran. To empower this capability, Fars Science and Technology Park established its ICT incubator in 2016 to attract innovative ideas, and support employees of electrical and electronic industries.
Considering the proven large oil, and gas reserves in Fars province, neighboring oil-rich provinces in the south, and access to downstream, and upstream industries, the oil, gas, and petrochemical incubator has been active since 2011. This center has gathered specialists and innovators in the field of chemical, and polymer engineering, petroleum engineering, gas, petrochemical and mechanical engineering, material engineering, electrical engineering and electronics, computer engineering, petroleum geology, Nano and biotechnology, and other oil related fields.
Fars province is one of the biggest provinces in Iran with the most various climate changes among other provinces in the country. The geographical extent along with different climates resulted in a variety of species, wildlife, and agriculture. It can be claimed that there is no species of plants or animals which doesn’t exist in Fars.
Besides, infrastructures in Fars such as; industries, energy, communication, universities, human resources, all have facilitated the availability, and improvement of different industries, and jobs in connection with agricultural, and natural resources potentials in the province.
